Appeal | Human Hair Lace Front Wig

I purchased the Ellen Wille Appeal wig in color Pastel Blonde Rooted. The color is warmer on human hair than the EW synthetic wigs, which I love as it matches my dyed hair closely. The cut and length of the Appeal wig is perfect. The style is ready to wear out of the box. When washed, this remy human hair becomes full of volume and wavy. It takes heat styling very well and holds the style. I am happy with my purchase. Why I did not give 5 stars: 1) the rooting of this color is consistent at the sides and back, but the top of the wig has very little rooting. 2) This wig has less hair at the crown and back. The density is not consistent all around. A small area of hair at the crown exposes wefts slightly; it appears to have been sewn incorrectly. I use heat styling to train the hair and conceal the wefts. I can live with these minor imperfections since I received a great discount at Wig Outlet on this wig.

First, I want to start with what I loved about this wig. The hair quality is great. It's soft, healthy, and feels amazing. It's a perfect mid-length and I could see this being a really cute piece to style. You're given a decent amount of hair to work with. The density is also perfect -- not too much hair, not too little. The color (I got dark chocolate mix) was a really beautiful blend but a lot warmer than I expected.

This brings me to the negative aspects of the wig that prevented me from giving it 5 stars and made me return it. I'm not sure if the piece I received was just lacking/an anomaly, but the lace and hairline at the monofilament part was not very convincing to me. Elle Wille usually does beautiful lacefronts and realistic scalps so I was surprised by this. The knotting was so apparent and clumsy with hair placement right at the part, especially the parts closer to the forehead. To make this piece wearable, I would have had to get bangs cut into it otherwise I would have felt self-conscious.

Ultimately, if you like the style I would say this unit is worth giving a try. There will always be small inconsistencies with these handmade wigs. I've seen other alopecians with this wig and they looked beautiful so I probably just got unlucky with one that didn't have the most natural lacefront and hair part.
