Wig arrived quickly. Opened it, loved the color (mocha frost--an ashy, very natural looking darkest blonde.) I knew I was going to steam it straight. Just look at the video of it... Rather dated looking as is.
I took it out to try it on and was surprised by how rough the perimeter of the cap felt. It is lined with a very generous amount of very scraggly permatease. In fact, the wefts are, too. And the permatease is visible through the hair. As are the wefts in the back at the crown. They've been generous with the permatease because they were very stingy with the hair.
The part is not well done, either. It looks wiggy. And I think you'd have to be very careful if you wanted to wear this wig half up, because the perimeter of the cap looks wiggy. You can easily see the cap construction if you just move the hair a little.
I'm not one of those "oh well, at least I can wear it with a hat" people, but since I "only" paid $100 for it, I figured I'd eat the loss instead of the hassle of returning it.
I decided to steam it, anyway. And guess what? It is so incredibly pretty and feminine. The hair fibers are so soft and I don't think would tangle easily throughout the day...
It's such a shame that it's unusable. It would be a darling, easy to wear wig. Once I saw it straightened, I actually wrote twice to Envy about it. No response.
Trending Tresses by Gabor reminds me strongly of my straightened Leyla. A much, much better version of it. Similar cap style, but…

The fibers felt nice, but the color was too dark and the bangs were awkward for my face shape.
