The elite average cap is just as everyone says, fabulous. A bit smaller than the wefted, but I'd say perfect for a 21-21.5 circumference. Surprisingly it still provides decent coverage along the sides hairline, if you have a hairline is lower/deeper. But the wefted (average) will get you better coverage there. My measurement is 21.25 and I shave my head. If I kept my natural hair I don't think the coverage would work for me as it increases my circumference to 22ish.
I think the fibers might be more durable on the elite than the regular as with the regular Simmer the ends got frizzy after the first wear and the elite didn't start feeling frizzy till about the 6th wear. Full disclosure, I did treat the ends with with the Simply Stylin' silicone spray before wear one this time. And I wear mine 8-12 hours a day, every day.
I do like the color equally as much as Hazelnut, but neither is that "just right" color for me. RL10/12 Sunlit Chestnut is evenly blended with the slightest of highlight at the front (but the 12 highlight color isn't far enough away from the 10 base to really feel like a highlight). I tried the RL12/16 (without breaking the part or messing with the fibers) and the 16 was just too light. I wish there were at least one other color combo, highlighted, between the 2; or even the Hazelnut with a higher base color so it's not so stripy looking, like a 10, 11, or 12.
I took 1 star away because there are way too many flyaways and I have very sensitive skin…

This was my first high end synthetic wig purchase and I really like it. I bought in the color RL4/10SS shaded iced Java. The lace looks really great and the partial hand tied cap is comfortable. She's really cute and now I'm dying to try more styles.

I'm a petite/medium so the traditional average in Rachel Welch fits me a bit large (not problematic though). I'm a 21.25 inch circumference, with my head shaved. This Elite Average cap fits almost perfectly. The ear tabs land a tiny bit too high, but I don't plan to do any ponytails.
People say it's super comfy, which has been the case for me too. It's my first 100% hand tied wig. I have very sensitive skin, and it's true that the itch is practically completely resolved with the hand tied cap. But the massive amount of stray/shorter hairs is driving my skin nuts...it mostly just comes down into my face, I think because I have a low hairline.
So the stray hairs are a big negative, but the rest outweighs it...I'll just keep plucking them. They aren't easily controlled by wig wax, GotToBe, nor the regular style setting spray, so I have resorted to the stinky and super tacky Paul Mitchel spray. We'll see if plucking and Paul Mitchel spray help long term.
The fibers seem more durable than on the original but could be my imagination. And the color Sunlit Chestnut (RL10/12) is almost perfect...just wish the highlights were more abundant or, even better, one shade lighter. The hazelnut is great by I don't like how stripy it is and how excessive the highlights are in the front, for this wig style. This brand doesn't have a better choice than Sunlit Chestnut if you're on the light side of medium brown and prefer noticeable, but not drastic, highlights. The Honey Toast…
